NEW YORK — Donald Trump walked on the stage at the New York Hilton early Wednesday as the president-elect, pledging to be “president for all Americans.”

At around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Trump surpassed the 270 electoral vote mark with a victory in Wisconsin, at which point Clinton called him to concede defeat. He also won key the battleground states of Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Trump told a crowd of supporters that he’d work to unify a divided nation. He pledged that he would “be president for all Americans.”

Supporters said that if there was any country-building to be done, Trump would be the man for the job.
