LGBT activists and journalists led a panel Tuesday to discuss oppression of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people in the United States and internationally. “We’re the new civil rights movement,” said Mandy Carter, vice president of print and online media for the National Gay & Lesbian Journalists Association. “But, are we about justice or just us?” Carter and other LGBT activists continue a nationwide series on issues the demographic faces today.
