Protesters with Occupy DC remain steadfast in the face of chilly temperatures at McPherson Square in downtown Washington.

More than 40 tents remain in the park as the Occupy DC movement moves past its 100th day.

Carol Johnson, a spokeswoman for the National Park Service, says the park will only close on the directive of the superintendent of service’s DC Region in consultation with the National Weather Service. She would not speculate on how the park would be closed — if it comes to that.
