Fulbright scholar and Medill graduate Lauren Bohn describes the scene at Tahrir Square, the center for many of the demonstrations in Egypt and the site where hundreds of thousands have gathered to call for the ouster of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. She spoke with Medill News Service reporter Peter Larson on Tuesday from Cairo.
Documenting the protests
Bohn has spent the last four months studying in Egypt. She said what’s incredible about the protests is the number of different faces all turning out to march.
