BALTIMORE, Md. — Former Governor Larry Hogan, a Republican, and his Democratic opponent, Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, squared off in suburban Baltimore on Thursday. The debate, hosted by Maryland Public Television, saw the candidates clash on key issues affecting the 2024 campaign.
Alsobrooks attacked the former governor’s partisan leanings, arguing that his election could give Republicans the majority in the Senate, and his apparent flip-flop on abortion rights. Hogan went after Alsobrooks’ alleged use of benefits intended for senior citizen homeowners in Washington, D.C., and her lack of consensus building as county executive.
