WASHINGTON — Activists gathered in front of the White House this month to call for President Biden and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to grant Temporary Protected Status for Cameroonians on Thursday.
As a consequence of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis in Cameroon, many natives are fleeing due to concerns over their safety. However, many migrants face the possibility of being deported back to dangerous – and sometimes fatal – circumstances.
Those in attendance affirmed that Cameroon met all of the requirements for TPS but have not received an official response from President Biden or Secretary Mayorkas.
