“Shame, China:” bitter welcome for future Chinese president

WASHINGTON — When Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping visited the White House Tuesday, he wasn’t only greeted by the Obama administration – activists rallied outside demanding Tibetan independence from China. The calls come after decades of protesting what supporters say are human rights violations against the Tibetan people.
